NEW QUE IN TOWN
A NEW RESTAURANT CONCEPT FEATURING PRIME BRISKET AND OTHER CONNOISSEUR-LEVEL BARBECUED MEATS, CALLED LOOP 9 BBQ, IS NOW OPEN AND ONE OF THE FIRST RESTAURANTS IN GRAND PRAIRIE’S GROWING 172-ACRE ENTERTAINMENT CENTER, EPICCENTRAL.
From inside the restaurant or outside along its comfortable sprawling patio, Loop 9 BBQ guests will be among the first to experience the debut of the center’s exciting new fountain shows and live music performances, all while they feast on the finest new barbecue in DFW.
City officials behind EpicCentral turned to Larry Lavine to bring the perfect barbecue restaurant to the new development. In 1975, Lavine founded Chili’s with its first location in a converted postal station on Greenville Avenue in Dallas, Texas. Today, Chili’s has more than 1600 locations. The veteran restaurateur knows his Texas barbecue. More recently, Lavine shifted away from the mega-chain format to found Ten
50 BBQ in Richardson, Texas, in 2014. The restaurant immediately drew serious barbecue fans.
Loop 9 promises prime-grade brisket smoked to perfection, the best ribs you’ve ever tasted, Texas sausages, and so much more. Every item on the Loop 9 BBQ menu is prepared from scratch, focusing on fresh, high-quality ingredients and truly authentic Texas flavors.
The menu doesn’t stop with premium barbecue. The scratch-made sides include Mexican Corn, Borracha Beans, Hand-cut and Battered Fried Okra, and Fresh-cut Fries. Lavine’s wife inspired him to include her award-winning pies for dessert. Key Lime Pie and Banana Cream Pudding add some sweetness to the main savory offerings. The restaurant even has a separate pie shop where customers can watch pies being made and order whole pies to take home.
